Your First Visit
The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. This visit will usually take about an hour.
If we feel your problem would be better addressed through traditional medical care or some other means, we will refer you to the appropriate health care professional.
On the other hand, if a chiropractic approach looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem. If we determine that you are likely to benefit from chiropractic care, we can usually get started right away.
In more complex cases we may need to order x-rays or other tests to more clearly appreciate the nature of your condition. Either way, your well-being is our first concern. We strive to communicate effectively, so you can more fully participate in your care. You are a partner and the most important member of this team!
Our patients and practice members appreciate that we explain everything in advance. We make our recommendations for your chiropractic care in partnership with you, based on your personal health goals. Whether your desire is for relief or wellness care, we will do our best to support you in achieving your goals as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Insurance Our office will bill any insurance carrier with which we are contracted (Aetna, Medicare, VA) as a courtesy to you if you contact us at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment so that we can verify any chiropractic coverage. Our staff can then explain any expected insurance contribution and your payment responsibility prior to your first visit. No surprises!
Cancellation If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice. If your appointment must be cancelled due to illness or possible exposure to a communicable disease, no fee will be charged.
Financial We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Fees for our services vary based on the complexity of your presenting complaint & your general health status and will be discussed prior to the exam. An initial non-acute wellness client visit is $175-200. A painful or acute issue requires in-depth analysis, evaluation & management and more investment by both practitioner and patient. A problem focused initial visit with exam is $200-315.
